Tonight, Heaven has welcomed a wonderful man into it's court; Joe Metcalf. I rejoice in his newfound completeness and am saddened at his being taken away so quickly. It was about 4 weekends ago when we all found out that he had inoperable lung cancer. I'm glad that we were able to visit 3 of the 4 and that I was able to let him know how much I loved him in person.
If I could describe Grandpa in three words it would be, Generous, Gentle and Kind. He has impacted the way I treat others and I only hope to be half as generous as he was; giving without strings attached and to give often, however possible.
I will dearly miss you and carry only good memories of you in my life. Love you, Grandpa!

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa, Christina. I am so glad that you seem to have had such a great relationship with him. I'm thinking about you and your family and praying for comfort and peace for all of you. (What a sweet photo of him and his genuine smile!)
